ARC282/Construction Design
Project 4A: Construction Drawings for a Residential Property
In the first project of this course, the requirements are to construct a two-story house with a finished basement for a family of five that contains several requirements. This would include a separate section of the house that would meet compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. While it is necessary to make the house energy-efficient, it must be inferred that the floor area ratio must not exceed .25.
Project 5A: Design of a Small Commercial Building
This project is a service learning team project to prepare a set of as built and existing condition drawings and propose energy efficient upgrades for an office building at 700 Canal Road in Mount Sinai, which has a square footage of 1,500 square feet. Please note that three sets of drawings are necessary.
